Malta International Airport is the only airport in Malta and it serves the whole of the Maltese Islands. It is located on island of Malta in the town of Luqa.

At the airport, Malta’s Tourism Authority runs a helpful Tourist Information Desk in the Welcomers Hall. Experienced staff are on hand to answer your questions and provide great information before you depart the airport for your holiday in Malta. The desk is open between 10:00hrs and 21:00hrs (last admission is at 20:45hrs) every day.

Climate

Malta’s climate is typical of the Mediterranean and is strongly influenced by the sea. The Maltese Islands have a pleasantly sunny climate with a daily average of around 12 hours sunshine in summer going down to 5 to 6 hours in mid-winter.
